Crop report — harvest is slow going

| Harvest reached 4 per cent complete this week, well behind the five year average of 15 per cent. Scattered showers and humidity shortened harvest windows and made for poor desiccation conditions across much of the province. Producers are waiting on warmer temperatures to push crop maturity along.
Moisture improved slightly with 54 per cent of cropland now rated adequate, up from 48 per cent last week. The southwest is leading harvest progress at 9 per cent complete, with most other regions just getting started.
More warm, dry weather is what everyone is hoping for right now.
