Saskatchewan Crop Report for June 06-12, 2023

Newsletter 06.16.2023

Plant 2023 is a wrap! Well done farmers!

Most producers have completed seeding operations, with 99 per cent of the crop seeded to date. Last-minute fields were seeded as they dried up over recent weeks. Overall, seeding went very well provincially despite the delay from a late spring storm, heavy rains and cool weather. Producers were able to get all their fields seeded without major issues or delays

Saskatchewan Crop Report

We are off to a really good start in most areas. Many areas in south west and west central SK have more moisture this year than they have in several years which is very uplifting.

North East Saskatchewan usually seeds into too cold of soil due to the short growing season but this year they seeded into very warm soil which should give producers there a strong start to the season.

We are a long way from having this crop in the bin but we will remain positive that mother nature will continue to bless us with more good weather. Having a positive outlook in agriculture is half of the battle!
