FCC Mid Year Farmland Values Report

The mid-year Farmland Values report is out and the numbers and very strong for Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan led the country in the first half of the year at 11.4% increase in values! The highest rate of increase was once again in North East Saskatchewan.

J.P.’s thoughts are in alignment with mine that if interest rates and commodity prices stay the same the increases should cool down in the second half of the year.

What does this mean for Buyers and Sellers of farmland?

Sellers-If you have been holding off on selling, now is the time to take action. FCC predicts farm land values will cool off moving forward.

Buyers-Things should start to slowly become easier for Buyers of farmland. This won’t happen overnight but more listings will hit the market in time
