Recycling Grain Bag Program Begins in Saskatchewan!

Grain Bag Recycling Program

A new grain bag recycling program begins this month across Saskatchewan.

This is the first program of its kind in Canada and Cleanfarms expects it to grow.

“More than 4 million kilograms have been collected through various pilot programs… Cleanfarms is looking forward to seeing this figure grow as the program expands across the province.”

The program will allow producers to bring their used bags to one of 20 recycling depots throughout the province.

Many producers hope that the program will expand to be able to pick up the bags. However, even as a pilot program, there seemed to be great demand.
